My background: I loved Little League Baseball, which I played in Enterprise, Alabama. Approximately (a hundred years ago, it seems) 1950s! What I discovered in Jr. & hi. school was, I did not have what it took to make the team! That self-pity, I almost let it destroy my life!

I did all sorts of “Stupid” stuff from that point until I had been in the United States Air Force for several years, and I Learn an Order is an Order, Do as told and you will live, if you don’t, you generally have two choices: Punishment, or Brig time! A third option was always on the table. DISCHARGE, on your personal record for eternity!

Anywho, I grew UP in the United States Air Force! Now, at 82, I am still thankful! Saved my life! I often wonder if the service might repair many of the troubled individuals, especially those with their hands out! One of my Uncles, “Spoofer,” told me , If You Do Not Work You Do Not Eat!

The Point the USAF is where I learned my life’s work, aircraft maintenance! When I was in On-The-Job Training, I fell in love. My tasks were minor compared to Bomb Nav and some of the other electronic skills, but no one had more fun than I ‘fixin’ stuff!

When I got out at 29, I went to Auburn University until I hit Calculus! When I found out I could not do math, so I quit at the end of that year and went to work at the nearest manufacturing facility, and never looked back! Thank you very much!

‘Anywho’, at 70 something, I was fired when the contract was rebid, and my boss told me I made too much and he forced me to retire! Turned out to be a good deal for me.

I did a few piddle jobs, and B4 I knew it, we had two granddaughters ready for grade school! Then I became a Taxi driver for them. To & from school. Then they got into sports, now that was more fun! Then I hit a Brick Wall while doing the sports gig! The school allowed Transgender individuals in the sports programs! WOW! ‘Nuf’ said!
